Kid friendly smoothie ||RECIPE

January 28, 2016

Don’t get me wrong,

there is a time and a place for the shop bought smoothies for kids.

They’re great for treat picnics with our boys.

But when you have all of your whole food (see my whole food shopping list here) ingredients to hand, why not rustle this up in 3 minutes?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Frozen blueberries (you can freeze them as you buy or it’s cheaper to buy bulk bags of frozen fruits for your smoothies)
  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1cup kale
  • 2cups milk of choice
  • handful almonds (leave out if nut allergy)
  • 4 pitted dates chopped
  • splash of maple syrup

Method

Chop all ingredients, add to blender, serve chilled. I use a straw for my boys.

**I added a third of a vanilla protein powder sachet I have from Arbonne (see below for details). It made mine taste DELICIOUS and bulked it up. **

Arbonne is a vegan based company who are conscientious about keeping their products free from as much harm as possible.

I have changed my skincare and haircare routine to their fab products.

I even love their brand statement;

“We are all about being green, always have been and always will be. From botanically based ingredients to forward looking green improvements, being earth friendly has everything to do with who we are and how we choose to grow.”

I will feature Arbonne next month to tell you more about why I love it ALL.

    I’m an Arbonne Consultant and love all the unendorsed advertising we get. I received this through a friend of mine. I love trying new recipes and this one sounds delicious. ❤
